HAUL / REVIEW: Saks fifth avenue Estée Lauder Perfectionist Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum

so i said i wasn't going to spend money for the next month or so and of course i ran out of my serum and that i had to repurchase.. it's not a good sign..

i got two small samples of the Estée Lauder Perfectionist Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum from macy's back in July and i remembered loving it when i first tried it out. I just finished all my deluxe serum samples yesterday and guess what! my package came yesterday. just in time!

anyway, it took me a while to consider purchasing this the Estée Lauder Perfectionist Wrinkle Lifting/Firming Serum.. because it is quiet expensive. it's estee lauder's newest and most expensive serum but i think it's worth every single penny. even though i have never used any of estee lauder's other serums, i'll consider trying them out in the future. because i fell in love with the perfectionist wrinkle lifting/firming serum. i love the texture, scent, packing, etc. well, except the price. lol

i did my research before this splurge, there isnt any department stores that's having a estee lauder skincare gift with purchase except saks fifth avenue.

Love it! it's moiturzing and i love the way it felt on my skin! i don't have dry skin but this moiturizer doesn't make my skin any oilier either. omg what am i going to do with estee lauder skincare. they are so good but so expensive! ahhh!!

Deluxe Pure Color EyeShadow Compact with 9 shades

i really don't like this shadows. i had high hopes because it's estee lauder, can't be bad right? especially for the high price tag. anyway, i really don't like this shadows, they are powdery, chalk, very little to almost no color payoffs, tons of fall outs. anything you wouldn't want in an eyeshadow, these got it. not sure if their single shadows are any better but i have no interest in trying them anymore lol

Full-size Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in Rubellite

texture is smooth, nice granny scent lol, not sure how long wearing it is but it's pretty glossy without a gloss

Dual-ended Pure Color Intense Kajal EyeLiner in Blackened Black and Blackened Plum

they are pretty much black to me, i cant tell the difference unless i swatched them side by side. first thing i noticed is that these pencils are extremely waxy. not sure if it's because of the cold weather that "dry" out these pencils, i'll have to wait till the warmer months to see if they still dug my skin

i also go the Caudalie Divine Oil  because i saw essiebutton's video featuring this product sometime last month? but omg $18 for a 1oz tiny bottle is too much of a splurge for me. this is going back to sephora!

DIY Christmas Wreaths Under $5 Project Decorating & Craft Ideas

about a week ago i blogged about how to make your own wreath for under $10! Today, I'm going to show you how to make a wreath (Christmas) for under $5! ENJOY!

WHAT YOU NEED...

• GARLAND (9 ft) $4.00 from target / or $0.99 from 99 cents store
• TINSEL (9 ft) $0.99 from 99 cents store
• Ornaments (Shiny small 16pk) $0.99 from target / 99 cents store
• Ornaments (Glitter medium 8pk) $0.99 from target / 99 cents store
• Any other ornaments/decors of your choice :) / artificial poinsettias $0.99 from 99 cents store

Total amount spent: $4.95 plus tax ($5.38 after tax!)

Make sure to get wire garland, that way you don't need to have a base for the wreaths. the wire will give support and structure to your diy wreath.

now, all you have to do is to loop the wire garland into a circle, this will be the base of your wreath. I loop the garland 6 times fyi

***they also have garland at 99 cents store, but they are sort of too flat for my liking. if you don't care, you can def save $3 and go with the ones you find at 99cents! they also have some at walmart for $1.98, but again, they are not as "fluffy". you get what you paid for. lol

then, wrap the wreath base with tinsel! this step is optional. I thought this will add a little something to my wreath so it wouldn't be so plain.. haha 

***for the first wreath i made, i noticed the tinsel i picked out from target was too thin, it didn't turn out the way i wanted to, so for this one, i went to 99cents store and picked up another pack of tinsel in gold to work with. it turned out much better! :)

finally, add ornaments of your choice! I picked out these christmas ornament balls at the dollar section at target. I picked out metallic (size: small) and glitter (size: medium) finishes. or you can find ball ornaments at 99 cents store too. i also picked up an artificial poinsettias at 99cents store(6 flowers in total) to add to my wreath.

Here's a snowflake door bells decor i found at 99 cents! this has nothing to do with my diy wreath but i thought it was cute and i had to share! :)

REVIEW Impress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails

I got my very first influenster voxbox two weeks ago.. check out my college voxbox post here :)

Heard many good things about imPress nails but never got to try it because it was a little on the pricey side compare to other press on nails (I usually use Kiss, which is around $4-5 per box and it's good enough for two uses.)

I don't use press on nails often because they can add up quickly. just the other day i forgot to repaint my nails the night before and i was almost running late for a meeting. so i just grabbed the impress nails and out the door.

took me less than 5 minutes to apply. yes it took me 5 mins because it took me a while to peel off the sticker film on the back of each nail and then apply. still faster than painting nails though and theres no dry time!

it lasted for about 3 whole days (i didnt really take good care of it, and im sure if i did, it would have last for a bit longer)

these nails are pretty secure/sticky. i didn't see much lifting, and as soon as there was (on my right index finger, i took the whole set off right away)

the length of these nails are pretty short and natural. my friends even asked if i painted my nails myself! lol

the only thing is that these impress nails barely include any small nail sizes. if you have small hands, finger nails, it might not fit your pinkys. otherwise, it's pretty good for $5.99-7.99 a set.

DIY Christmas Wreaths Under $10 Project Decorating & Craft Ideas

I personally think all of the wreaths that are in the market right now are way overpriced. Even the cheapest wreath is going to cost around $20! Here I'm going to show you how to make a wreath (christmas) for under $10! ENJOY!

WHAT YOU NEED...

• GARLAND (9 ft) $4.00
• TINSEL (25 ft) $2.00
• Ornaments (Shiny small 16pk) $1.00

• Any other ornaments of your choice :)

Here is the finish product! Target ran out of the $1.00 red bows (the only one they had left was so dirty! it had coffee stains on it..) So i decided to add/make my own! 

If you haven't noticed, this is the same bow i made back in October (DIY Minnie Mouse Headband)

I paid $0.29 for the red felt sheet. one sheet is enough for the bow and the tassel. check out my DIY Last Minute Halloween Idea Costume Minnie Mouse Mickey Mouse Headband Costume Belt for a step by step tutorial on now to make a bow :)

I added two strips of red felt and hot glued it on the back of the bow to make it a Christmas bow! lol

on tuesday 11/13/2012, i got an email saying that im getting the college voxbox from influenster!!! i'm so excited woohooooo! I can't wait to receive my very first influenster box in the mail. I'll definitely do a blogpost when i get my college voxbox :)

and here is a little story of my sephora.com vib "haul"/incident..

I'm too lazy to type up everything so i just copied and pasted what i posted on sephora's facebook page. i have always been a big fan of sephora, online and in-store they always have the best customer service. i have been shopping at sephora for years, this is the first time sephora has let me down. i wish their cust rep didn't tell me it'll be deliver on time. at least i can be proactive about it and just get it in store for my friend. i emailed and called sephora, but it feels like nothing is getting through so i thought facebook was my last choice. 

I ordered a gift for a friend's birthday on 11/11/2012 9:15pm and have it ship to her house. I forgot to change the shipping address to hers, and i called sephora on 11/12/2012 in the morning, the cust rep told me there is nothing he can do until i get my tracking no., so i waited until 11/13/2012 (after a tracking no., was sent to my email), i called sephora again and the lady said she can reroute the package for me but the system is not allowing her, so she will do that once the system starts working again and that she will put a note on the order. on 11/14/2012, i went online and checked, the package's destination is still to my address instead of my friends. i called sephora right away and have it reroute to my friend's address. FINALLY it got rerouted because i can see the destination changed minutes after we hung up. by the end of the day, the package arrived to Ontario, CA around 9:40pm (which is about 2 hours driving distance away from my friend's house. on 11/15/2012 morning, i checked online again for the status, it says the package is being sent back to the sender! i called sephora again, they said it is because the package is being rerouted twice?!

well, nobody ever told me the package is being rerouted twice. the second time i called in they should have let me know so i dont request it again. but even so, both reroute request are made to ship to the same exact address. if anything, they could have told me that the package is not going to make it for my friend's birthday. i would have place another order on 11/12/2012 while i can still take advantage of my vib discount. and just return the first shipment when it arrives.
