Influenster Jolly Vox Box 2013 Review

Supposedly the #jollyvoxbox is the best box influenster has to offer in the year. well, that's what they claimed to be. (last time i qualified for another infulenster box, after i filled out my shipping address and everything, they sent me an email saying they ran out and oops too bad but you'll get the best box of the year, referring to the jollyvoxbox.)

let me just say. im quite disappointed. even though i got this for free, i had to speak whats on my mind...

Puffs Ultra Soft & Strong To Go Tissue Pack (value: $0.49)
Why is this even in the box. It's useful and everything but why?!


NYC New York Color HD Color Trio Eyeshadow in Long Beach Sands ($2.99)
another NYC product. This is the third time in a row that i got from my influentser boxes.


Rimmel London NEW Show Off Lip Lacquer in Stargazer ($5.49-$5.99)
the only thing that stood out to me! im so excited to try it out. this was actually something i considered buying because of essiebutton! :)

Skinny Cow Candy Divine Filled Chocolates in Peanut Butter Creme ($3.99 per box)
i love skinny cow. i love it way before influenster. but too bad they had to include the peanut butter favor.. not my favorite but not bad!

Ducklings Mini Rolls Duct Tape ($2-$3)
again, why?! holiday gift wrapping maybe? but to be honest, this colorful duct tape with design on them only makes the gift wrapping tackier than ever. Duct tape is good to have around, but why is it in the holiday box?!

Overall, not impressed. If this is the "best" box influenster has to offer. It's quite an disappointment. I must admit I have gotten better boxes from influenster.

Influenster VoxBox Featured May Dish Product

Hello world! It's been too long since my last post! I miss blogging!

Been busy with my new job, but I love it :)
This Cali girl moved all the way to the east coast now! Spent most of my time trying to settle down and everything.

Found an apartment and moved in within a week of arriving NJ. What!?!

Still can't believe I packed my life in two small luggage and moved all the way across the country for this job. But I'm glad I did it because I know it's worth it!

I went back to Cali to visit friends and family, my BFF told me that I looked happier than ever. My mom was so interested in my travel experiences (my current job requires a lot of traveling) which is crazy because she is just always been careless of what her daughter does for a living... (I did marketing before and she never really cared what I did for work lol)

This whole training/new job/moving/leaving cali experience is simply overwhelming. Lots of ups and downs but I'm glad I'm done with the moving and now all I have to focus on is to get through my probation!

Anyway, two days ago I got an email from influenster saying that there's a new VoxBox on its way! Weeeeeee :)

influenster college voxbox & a little sephora incident...

influenster college box

on tuesday 11/13/2012, i got an email saying that im getting the college voxbox from influenster!!! i'm so excited woohooooo! I can't wait to receive my very first influenster box in the mail. I'll definitely do a blogpost when i get my college voxbox :)

and here is a little story of my sephora.com vib "haul"/incident..

I'm too lazy to type up everything so i just copied and pasted what i posted on sephora's facebook page. i have always been a big fan of sephora, online and in-store they always have the best customer service. i have been shopping at sephora for years, this is the first time sephora has let me down. i wish their cust rep didn't tell me it'll be deliver on time. at least i can be proactive about it and just get it in store for my friend. i emailed and called sephora, but it feels like nothing is getting through so i thought facebook was my last choice. 

I ordered a gift for a friend's birthday on 11/11/2012 9:15pm and have it ship to her house. I forgot to change the shipping address to hers, and i called sephora on 11/12/2012 in the morning, the cust rep told me there is nothing he can do until i get my tracking no., so i waited until 11/13/2012 (after a tracking no., was sent to my email), i called sephora again and the lady said she can reroute the package for me but the system is not allowing her, so she will do that once the system starts working again and that she will put a note on the order. on 11/14/2012, i went online and checked, the package's destination is still to my address instead of my friends. i called sephora right away and have it reroute to my friend's address. FINALLY it got rerouted because i can see the destination changed minutes after we hung up. by the end of the day, the package arrived to Ontario, CA around 9:40pm (which is about 2 hours driving distance away from my friend's house. on 11/15/2012 morning, i checked online again for the status, it says the package is being sent back to the sender! i called sephora again, they said it is because the package is being rerouted twice?!

well, nobody ever told me the package is being rerouted twice. the second time i called in they should have let me know so i dont request it again. but even so, both reroute request are made to ship to the same exact address. if anything, they could have told me that the package is not going to make it for my friend's birthday. i would have place another order on 11/12/2012 while i can still take advantage of my vib discount. and just return the first shipment when it arrives.

VoxBox from Influenster

i signed up for Influenster a few months back after i heard about it on youtube. put it off for 2-3 months because when i first signed up, i was completely clueless.

just lately, i started seeing all these youtube videos about influenster, thought i'd give it a try and see what's the hype all about and im more than excited to share it with everyone! lol



what is Influenster...
Influenster is a social networking, user review website. influensters(members) will take surveys and write reviews on www.influenster.com in order to earn badges, after collecting certain amount of badges, influensters will qualify to recive a FREE box of products to try out (both full size and sample size!)

What is a VoxBox?
A box full of products that you get from influenster.com for FREE if you qualify

How can I get an Influenster VoxBox?
influensters with high scores and are also within the specific target badge, are more likely to get offered a VoxBox.


I haven't get anything from influenster yet, but im excited to be part of this community. I'm still trying to get familiar with this site, i might do an update later on when im learn more about this site and/or when i finally qualify for the voxbox. haha!


My thoughts...
to me, influenster and yelp are very much alike! they are both review sites, it's all about participation and reviews (products and services), gain badges etc. and at the end, influenster sends you free samples to try out in order for you to write more reviews! compare to yelp, you get to be come a yelp elite and go to exclusive events in your area.

and the best thing is, they are both FREE!
