Quick and Easy Recipes - Home Remedy for Sore Throats - Asian Pear Soup with honey

Feeling a little under the weather? dry cough, itchy throat, scratchy voice.. here's a homemade recipe to make you feel all better! :)



Ingredients - one bowl per serving, this recipe is for 2 servings
  • 1 table spoon honey
  • 4 cups water
  • 3-4 Asian Pears peeled, cored and cut into 1" cubes
combine the water and pear cubes in a medium cooking pot over high heat and bring to a boil. reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until the pears are soft.

let cool, covered, for 5 minutes. add the honey and stir to combine.

serve immediately or refrigerate for several hours until cold.

  1. Cool! Next time we get some asian pears I'll try it out! :)

    We usually drink honey lemon tea or ginger tea. My mom recently introduced me to daikon honey, which is supposed to help with scratchy throats.
