Feeling a little under the weather? dry cough, itchy throat, scratchy voice.. here's a homemade recipe to make you feel all better! :)
- 1 table spoon honey
- 4 cups water
- 3-4 Asian Pears peeled, cored and cut into 1" cubes
combine the water and pear cubes in a medium cooking pot over high heat and bring to a boil. reduce the heat to low and cook, covered, for 15 minutes or until the pears are soft.
let cool, covered, for 5 minutes. add the honey and stir to combine.
serve immediately or refrigerate for several hours until cold.

ReplyDeleteWe usually drink honey lemon tea or ginger tea. My mom recently introduced me to daikon honey, which is supposed to help with scratchy throats.
